Fight night: ‘Reno’ ready to shine against Munguia
After weeks of speculation, Tureano “Reno” Johnson got the fight he lobbied for on his journey to the top of the middleweight division. Johnson will take on former WBO super welterweight champion Jaime Munguia at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, on October 30.

Jaime Munguia caught Tureano Johnson with a vicious uppercut that severely gashed the Bahamian middleweight’s upper lip and led to a doctor’s stoppage. Munguia retained the WBO Intercontinental title and was awarded a sixth round knockout win over Johnson in Friday night’s DAZN Boxing main event at the Fantasy Springs Resort in Indio, California.
‘Tank’ Williams becomes head trainer for Sarah Mahfoud
BAHAMIAN heavyweight boxer Sherman “Tank” Williams has transitioned to the sidelines for the first time in his storied career and became the head trainer for Sarah Mahfoud as she chases titles in women’s boxing. Mahfoud (10-0), the current IBF featherweight title holder, is set to face Amanda Serrano (38-1-1) on December 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada with Williams in her corner for the second consecutive fight.
